NSClient++

Securely execute and submit system checks

Description

NSClient++ (nscp) serves as a secure bridge for system monitoring data. Its core function is to safely allow a central monitoring server to request and run checks on a remote machine, returning the status of that system. Furthermore, the agent can proactively submit these check results to a remote server. It also possesses the capability to perform actions based on instructions. This combination of remote command execution, result submission, and task performance provides a comprehensive and secure foundation for distributed monitoring architectures beyond just Nagios or Icinga.
