PatchPE

PatchPE solves a common problem: software compiled with recent tools refusing to run on older Windows versions. By intelligently patching the PE header of an executable, it removes artificial OS version restrictions. This means an application marked for Windows 10 can be made to function perfectly on Windows XP or 2000. The tool also activates the Large Address Aware attribute, a crucial feature for 32-bit software that needs to utilize more than 2 GB of RAM, enhancing stability and capability without requiring a recompilation of the original source code.
